I think I found the best proposal to Japan about the hybrid of raptor and thunderbolt recently -- the twin-F135 variant of stealth fighter-bomber. This thing will surely supercruise much better than raptor, as well as a heavier loadout for offensive strikes.

Although f35 is a single engine, in our real world, output shortage is pointed out.

In our real world, Air Force uses F - 35A for the purpose of supplementing a small number of F - 22 rapter..
By adding FAST pack in addition to mission to secure air control, AIRFORCE can install guided bombs with ground-to-air missiles and laser beams while maintaining stealth as much as possible.
This advanced IIR senser addition and increased in loading is a consideration for designs that abandoned the mounting of arms and legs, and even the gun pod.
