Description This thing makes me laugh harder every time I look at it. Feel free to download, but it's huge and the thing's really just as tacky at any size.

If you look really closely, you can still see traces of the YuGiOhRealms.com watermark on the little picture of Big Eye there. This was two parts laziness and three parts "HATHOR, that's just so tacky it's perfect."

Mostly it just really cracks me up to think that, in the YGO universe, there are gossip rags centering on what's essentially equivalent to a group of Magic: the Gathering nerds.

Can you tell that, during slow days at my summer job at the grocery store, I liked to contemplate the checkout aisle magazines?

I have three responses, btw, to criticisms on this thing:
1. I know, and I'm sorry.
2. Really? I'll keep that in mind for the future.
3. I know, I did that on purpose because I thought the inaccuracy/stupidity of it was funny. (This is mostly concerning the text in pink.)

Pegasus has informed me that they never contacted him about an interview at all.

The characters won't start caring about these tabloids until... oh, about the fifth story, I think. Or when random women start coming up to TÊa and calling her mean names. Whichever comes first.

As a note to anyone who only favorited one of the pages of this so they could follow it without watching this account: I understand why you did it; you didn't want a flood of non-YGO/Game of Dreams stuff. But this account is active for the sole purpose of posting this future-story and the subsequent nexgen. Stuff I post here ONLY has to do with that nexgen's continuity. And I'm notoriously poor at keeping the pagelists up-to-date, so it'd really be easier just to watch this account. If at any point you don't want to read the comic anymore, go ahead and unwatch it. You won't hurt my feelings.

Here's what Mokie's face is saying to me:

"You just try asking my brother about ANYTHING with that microphone, and I'll knock your lights out!"

And Kaiba would be like: O-O "Mokuba!" *Is both shocked and sorta impressed*

This is hilarious, looks like Hmm More, magazine to name one, I don't read mags so yeah. But I love the tackiness of this cause really tabloids usually are lol.

I don't read tabloids either, but I sure see a lot of them at work (I work at a grocery store.)

JadedSnowleopard In reply to Yukai-no-Yugi [2010-06-13 03:22:44 +0000 UTC]

Never saw the point of them all they do is mess with celebrities lives, guess that was the inspiration for this am I right.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yukai-no-Yugi In reply to JadedSnowleopard [2010-06-14 23:01:34 +0000 UTC]

Totally the inspiration for this. The year I thought of it, The Enquirer had this ongoing story series about how George W Bush was having an affair with Condoleeza Rice and Laura Bush planned on divorcing him. He was still the president at this time, so you'd think the regular media, who hated him pretty badly, would have leapt on a story like that.

Therefore I don't believe a word tabloids say, but I find their covers highly entertaining. (Not enough to waste money on them.)

JadedSnowleopard In reply to Yukai-no-Yugi [2010-06-15 02:40:39 +0000 UTC]

Lol I didn't hear about that one, guess that means I don't read tabs, but ugh some are just pathetic like one I saw said how two celebs were getting divorced. I picked it up to find out why and honest to god it said that the reason was because the paparazzi wouldn't leave their love life alone. Um last I checked the tabloid writers are or part of the paparazzi so yeah shows how retarded the people who wrote the article I read were, and how heartless, if they and their people hounded the couple that badly they should to be ashamed of themselves. I mean they should seriously think before doing stuff like that and really before that I wanted to be a journalist but its all one sided to me you report on what your superiors want you to write. Ugh and its just a tabloid like the picture you made that sets people up for ruin.

Yukai-no-Yugi In reply to JadedSnowleopard [2010-06-16 19:17:59 +0000 UTC]

You could be an online journalist, and crusade for real news.

I've heard the reasoning for paparazzi is that people like to see "their" celebrities as real human beings.

My response to that is, "Isn't it kind of obvious they're real human beings? Try treating them like it."

So I totally get what you're saying.

JadedSnowleopard In reply to Yukai-no-Yugi [2010-06-16 22:27:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah but most of the stuff happening in my area is so depressing and sad, there is enough misery in the world. So I'm going in a different direction as an artist, I want to create beauty in the world even if it is a fruitless endeavor at least others will be happy to see the works. Thanks for agreeing and sorry if I went on a tangent back there its just so hard to see the good side of things when all of the media shows chaos and death, thats kind of why I'm trying to slow down in reading your comic at least at the end of the day I can say "What is Yugi up to this time?" or something along those lines. I'm actually reverting to watching my old shows cartoons like Yugioh and others now because tv now is so disheartening.

Yukai-no-Yugi In reply to JadedSnowleopard [2010-06-17 01:57:59 +0000 UTC]

Nah, tangents are good.

I've basically had to stop watching most of the adult programming I used to, because it's all too depressing.

I'm glad you enjoy the comic as much as I do.

Good cause I tend to go on them often now ugh ever hear of the song "Land of Confusion" either by Genesis or Disturbed that is what we're living in now. Disturbed even has an awesome music video on You Tube. All people care about now is war and violence, at least in Yugioh there is a legit reason for the action. Though my parents think it is immature of me to revert like that saying I won't be able to relate to people my own age but really most of the stuff my friends watch is just so numbingly sad and horrible. I'm rewatching the original Yugioh now and seeing a comic that extends the story after what happened in the canon is just awesome.

Yukai-no-Yugi In reply to JadedSnowleopard [2010-06-21 00:10:54 +0000 UTC]

I rewatch the series on a regular basis.

And I still get along quite well not only with people my own age, but people slightly older than me. X3 (And my mom. Who loves Kaiba and still tells off Pegasus when he's onscreen.)

Anyway Transformer fans are all ages and the original series was written for a younger audience; those guys clung on and ensured that their fandom would get a live action movie and all that, I choose not to be embarrassed by continuing to like something that made me so happy when I was younger.

JadedSnowleopard In reply to Yukai-no-Yugi [2010-06-21 02:27:03 +0000 UTC]

Well for someone who is making a detailed comic based off of the original series I can understand and the show was so awesome, for me this is my third time rewatching it at it still keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Haha thats cool though she might not get along with my dad thinks Pegasus is hilarious. Me I like most of the characters even the villains because even though there bad they just keep your interest.

Lol My brother is probably one of them he has a huge collection in his room. I saw bits and pieces of Transformers but I always liked Captain Planet when I was a kid. But I get what you mean it shouldn't matter how old you are as long as you find something that makes you happy. Still it feels a tad odd when your picking out Yugioh cards at the toy shop with all little kiddies around.

Yukai-no-Yugi In reply to JadedSnowleopard [2010-06-22 00:42:05 +0000 UTC]

Get a child friend, and take them along when you do it.

(I've got an eight year old brother that I use as the main excuse for most of my purchases these days. On the rare occasion I'm challenged about them.)

Yeah, I've got a bunch of Transformers too, which is why I used it as an example. The main thing that prevents me from doing a crossover fic is that this fic takes up a huge amount of my energy for that sort of thing.

Also it'd be horribly silly as a crossover. XD

JadedSnowleopard In reply to Yukai-no-Yugi [2010-06-22 03:41:18 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha that sounds like a good idea, but most of my siblings are all grown as well and my cousins are interested in other things. Ah, I usually buy them at a little known shop anyway, don't get me wrong they've got some really rare ones. Nah actually I've seen a few crossovers similar to Transformers with Yugioh some worse than others, it depends on the quality I guess.

This is the best. I love Mokuba's expression--F&*% OFF! And I loved the pink text--who they are and why we need to know about them! The fangirls heave a collective gasp. Mwa ha ha ha. I can't wait for more.

I loved the pink text especially well myself. (It would have been red, but... well, DA munches pink text less than red text. Which is a little strange, but hey.) Also I apparently have an affinity for overstating things cheesily.

Freaked out fangirls are awesome.

Hmm... Interesting magazine. ^_^"
I can't help think most people would know who Mai is, since she seemed to be pretty famous in what little was said in the series. Although I wonder what happened with her career after that Dartz stuff...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yukai-no-Yugi In reply to AsjJohnson [2009-07-01 01:27:11 +0000 UTC]

Well, that's what the "3" response is actually about-- I KNOW people should know who Mai is, and they should also know who Ishizu is because she was a Battle City finalist-- but the tabloid doesn't care, because the people who write it are dips. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AsjJohnson In reply to Yukai-no-Yugi [2009-07-01 03:34:48 +0000 UTC]

I wondered if you'd say that. ^_^" It seems odd that a magazine about Duel Monsters wouldn't know about them, though. I wonder if they constantly hire whoever they can find or something...
