As a note to anyone who only favorited one of the pages of this so they could follow it without watching this account: I understand why you did it; you didn't want a flood of non-YGO/Game of Dreams stuff. But this account is active for the sole purpose of posting this future-story and the subsequent nexgen. Stuff I post here ONLY has to do with that nexgen's continuity. And I'm notoriously poor at keeping the pagelists up-to-date, so it'd really be easier just to watch this account. If at any point you don't want to read the comic anymore, go ahead and unwatch it. You won't hurt my feelings.

Thanks to the link on the latest page, I'm reviewing this part of the story again. I'd like to compliment the writing here. This scene reminded me of the reason I was attracted to Seto Kaiba as a character in the first place. He can get pretty obsessed with a lot of things--his corporation, his favourite card game, his brother... Yet the kind of things the average person would stress over, he doesn't.
I've only ever seen bits and clips of one of the TV series (can't even say which one) but I vaguely remember a number of the main characters needed to get somewhere. Most hoofed it on foot, but Kaiba and Mokuba walked into a car shop. I remember Mokuba saying "I like the blue one!" and Kaiba going "Whatever, just pick one." 
I'm sure Kaiba's careful with his money (and connections) most of the time, but there's a point where it's I CAN do this, so really, why NOT?
In your comic, you've created a beautiful delicate balance here. Serenity is impressed that Seto can just DO that "just like that." Kaiba knows it's not all that impressive, since it comes with the territory of being rich and influential. Joey knows that it's not that impressive for Kaiba to be able to do, but it IS impressive that Seto did it.

This is really looking great. And I don't know. Flowers keep things relatively light which helps in the comedic area after all the dark drama lol

D'aaww, Serenity. XDD There used to be a little bit in which Joey calls her out on it, but it was redundant to other scenes so I cut it (I was going to have bonus sketches later, maybe that'll be one of them. XD)

lol Sometimes we miss our own points to things lol. Half the time I write things and don't realize why they were written that way until someone else makes a connection for me lol. I'm just glad I can help where I can.
Brothers have that knack of catching things like that lol. And Joey would be the kind to pick it up almost before she did- or at least before she admitteded it to herself only because of how attentive he is of her lol

And then she looks so startled in that last one... I wonder if she's afraid of what Big Brother will say to her liking his arch enemy. Heh. (although, suddenly finding out about someone being behind you usually startles me - especially when it's some type of bug... I like bugs, but not sneaky ones that crawl up my legs and arms without telling me. >_>" Although I jump when it's a person, and just shake my hand/arm/leg when it's a bug. Um... Hm. If you look at Joey's face in the "sigh!" panel, you'll know what he thinks. XDD I don't think Serenity is sure Joey actually heard the actual sigh, and I am sure she hopes he didn't.
