Or: “Cosplay Prick”
Subtlety is fun! O3O
Life in large sections of America has hit the skids hard since the three major catastrophic events of the 1990s (backstory is fun, alternate universes are fun, and most of it’s irrelevant here O3O), with many areas just plain no longer bothering to display any hope or aspirations of improvement, and wallowing in an endless geopolitical angst. T.J. Brown (known as “Bullet” to her only two friends, largely due to what “T.J.” is short for) has not done well in one such environment, being one of the VERY unlucky people to have undergone strange physical effects due to a scary number of people refusing to get the damn hint that you should probably not live in close proximity to a nuclear weapon’s detonation site if you value the idea of producing children.
Long story short: Bullet’s been a futa since birth, and was frog-marched into her family’s attic to live out the rest of her days once puberty, the little bastard that it is, made it impossible to pass her off as a male anymore. However, luckily, of the two friends who gave her her nickname, one in particular was in a strong position to help – turns out that Cass ‘Cassie’ Smith being the daughter of the dying city’s mayor gave her access to the tools, means and authority to sneak Bullet out of her situation, and together with her and their other buddy Becky, they hit the road and moved to the city of Garremont to make a new way for themselves there.
Bullet was quickly enthralled by some of the more unique aspects of the city, especially when they happened to pass through the Wesker District, which can best be described as a combination of an eternal anime convention and AmericAkihabara, and just as quickly discovered the joys of anime and cosplay, both hobbies that she took to like a moth to flame. And hey, the flashy, bizarre outfits drew attention to things that weren’t The Thing, so there’s a bonus too! (That and anime fans seem to be unusually open to futas, so double bonus :3)
Of course, Cassie being Cassie, she immediately got to work on ensuring that Bullet didn’t take shit from anyone else ever again.
So Bullet’s got her a bit of a style to go with her new style…
BULLET
--The wild outfit hides, among many things, a variety of hidden weaponry and a massive chip on her shoulder that’s had a few decades to grow out of control. Her flashy, anime-inspired movement may look silly, but a few dozen punches to the burn wounds she’ll give you on a moment’s notice ensure she’ll be the only one laughing. Watch out – her best friends are rarely far away.
Fighting style:
--Bullet hops around semi-randomly and will attack VERY quickly – in both reaction time and attack speed - as soon as she enters range. Additionally, her pals Becky and Cassie are rarely far behind her, with Bullet being VERY good at catching you off-guard while they’re on the attack. If you catch her on the same horizontal plane as you, get off it, fast; she’s bad at knowing when to stop her flurries of attacks but that won’t do you any good if you’re presently being struck about a dozen times.
Attacks:
Movement tech) Bullet moves by jumping semi-randomly around the screen. Most of her attacks are triggered by performing a check on your location every time her feet touch the ground. She DOES have a short delay whenever she lands during which she’s completely open, but the delay is short enough to where it’s REALLY difficult to take advantage of without seriously risking getting hit.
A) Bullet, if she lands within arm’s reach, will throw a rapid flurry of punches at you. The moment the attack gets going, each punch is nigh-instantaneous. Each punch does barely any damage but it will add up VERY quickly if you don’t special out, and as the difficulty level goes up, the flurry extends. If Bullet whiffs a few punches, or the flurry concludes, she’ll stop for a second to catch her breath. You can counter by either going around her or waiting for her to stop punching.
B) Bullet, if she lands a bit beyond arm’s reach, will start traveling forward with a rapid flurry of kicks. Much like A, each kick is nigh-instantaneous once the attack gets going, and while they’re very slightly more powerful than the punches, they ALSO aren’t very damaging on their own, and can ALSO add up very quickly if you don’t special out, with the same ‘more difficult = longer flurry’ issue – and you’ll get knocked back slightly, though not as much as Bullet moves forward, every time a kick lands. If she whiffs, the flurry concludes, or Bullet gets too close, she’ll stop for a second to catch her breath. See A for hints. Note that she’s smart enough to try to land far enough away to score the most hits possible.
C) If Bullet lands far away but on your horizontal plane, she’ll either twirl her staff briefly, point the end at you, and fire something at you – or she’ll fling something out of her sleeves to attack you with. TYPICALLY, what she uses is tied to the palette-swap, but she can get tricky – or use more than one item – if difficulty rises. Poppy in particular tends to have multiple versions of this attack ready to go.
Bullet: Shoots a firework out of her staff that explodes on impact. Infinite horizontal range, medium damage + knockdown.
Dagger: Backflips into the air and flings a row of firecrackers that explode in mid-air. Heavy damage + knockdown, but there’s a VERY rigid area this hits in, and a giant blind spot right in front of where she lands. (Friendly fire possible.)
Javelin: Shoots a firework out of her staff, but slightly toward the ground. It’ll still explode on impact, but this includes ground impact, which has a larger blast radius. Medium damage + knockdown. (Friendly fire possible.)
Ballista: Fires a crossbow bolt out of her staff. Slower to start but flies through the air VERY quickly. Infinite horizontal range, high damage.
Missile: Stands still for a moment and throws up both arms, sending firecrackers flying absolutely everywhere. They’ll target around the screen completely at random, but you’ll see targets where they’re going to hit – and if you stay there, they’ll explode in mid-air for heavy damage. (Friendly fire possible.)
Poppy: Will attempt to jump right on top of you, sending you to the floor if she does. If she does, she’ll stand on you and fire multiple fireworks into your prone body for massive damage.
--For all of this, note that despite anything listed above, any variant of Cassie or Becky is completely immune to friendly fire from any Bullet variant.
--Poppy is the most dangerous of the bunch. In addition to her whole "basically attempts to murder you from her numerous jumps" thing, she also has everyone else's tricks for Attack C.
Palette-swaps:
-Dagger
-Javelin
-Ballista
-Missile
-Poppy
“Bullet” Brown and palette-swaps belong to - You may be asking if someone’s about to be kicking your butt anime-style… BECAUSE SOMEONE IS! >:3
