Add-on: I do note that the whole Katsuragi thing is more a case of non-gameplay behavior; I don't think Katsuragi has a means of grabbing her opponents, at all, throughout the actual gameplay of SK, and that includes her ninja arts. (I could be mistaken on it not appearing AT ALL, though I still think it's strange that they wouldn't try to emphasize or at least include her grippiness somehow.)

A few of the concepts are some that I think could work pretty well:

-Mirai's ability to pull weaponry out of what might as well be hammerspace is a fun concept and easy to work with.

-Yumi could work if only because she doesn't look like the kind of person you'd expect to be fighting at all, which amuses me.

-Haruka's whole "evil medicine" thingy is pretty rife for potential, specifically in regards to applying debuffs to player characters (a thing I don't really see in a lot of classic-style beat-em-ups).

While you could really make a case for most of the cast having something to them that would slot them in nicely for any number of mook archetypes, I tend to prefer a type that focuses relatively hard on a specific area, or outright odd means of attack, instead of largely having large, diverse movesets like, well, a player character. Or a boss. And games in which every enemy has some way to match ANYTHING you do tends to be slow-paced as all hell. And I do like the Senran Kagura characters and universe, but the GAMES tend to have a big problem with a lot of the bosses feeling kind of samey, and have a common beat-em-up problem in that a lot of the time it feels like they'll suddenly decide you can no longer hit them, with little warning that the game decided as such aside from you suddenly and instantly sucking the enemy's fist.

(Speaking of the above choices, by the way, of my own characters, Hazel might as well be a far goofier Mirai in a bunnysuit (which I wasn't actually intending on), and I do have ideas for people kinda based on Yumi and Haruka (though I don't think Haruka was even a thing when I first thought of the 'evil doctor' idea).)

Thats one thing I wish we'd see in Senran Kagura; someone just as if not more perverted than Kat, that and tig ol bitties never hurt... well I mean they do but this is fiction so screw gravity.
