Well first there is a lot of vibrant colors of "ink" being splattered all over the place. In homestuck their is alien race called trolls and unlike humans trolls have a multitude of blood colors like colors of the rainbow. Seeing the colors being splattered all over the place well I think you can get what I mean.
Now the bucket, I'll try to keep it as tame as possible. Now the bucket is treated as a huge sexual joke in the homestuck fandom because buckets are used in troll mating practices. A trolls 'stuff' is the same color as their blood is placed in the bucket. Basically they might laugh that the inklings look like they're trowing around troll gizz.
Just look up homestuck bucket on Google and you'll see what I mean.
