you are totally worthy of making a tutorial. i'll def. use some of the tips. and it's cool to see the steps that other people use to draw. ooh, and the pictures you take are so crisp! and i like the pastel blending technique, i've grown fond of them lately so i'm going to use them more.

Thank you for your kind words I think that there are much better artists than me on DA who are really masters... that's why I think that little Yuki is not a right person to do tutorials... However, I'm glad that you like my tut Pastels are fun to use.

This is a great tutorial i will definately have to try this!! finally i have a use for my chalk pastels!!Thank-you yuki!!By the way...I think your Polish right? Your english is very very good...do you take english classes in school ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

yuki-the-vampire In reply to britzfitz [2006-08-12 10:27:14 +0000 UTC]

Ha, I can't wait to see your works done with pastels

Yes, I'm Polish... I take English classes, however I am a lazy girl... I understand a lot, but sometimes I cannot write exactly what I want because I don't know the right words.

I'm glad that you say that my English is very good I have to learn a lot more English now, cause I want to study in UK. I don't know if will be possible (I want to study art in London, and lots of people want the same >.< ), but I will do anything to make my dream come true Now I have to pass CAE (Certificate of Advanced English). It won't be easy

You're Canadian, so if you see that I make mistakes - please tell me about it. I want to know English better

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

britzfitz In reply to yuki-the-vampire [2006-08-13 19:08:41 +0000 UTC]

Ya! I'm really excited to use those great pastel techniques too!!Keep watching!

There is no way that you can be lazy your english is really good and it always makes sense I can Imagine it took alot of work being as fluent as you are...trust me...i'm canandian! I think that you'll do excellent studing in the [link] will be lucky to have you studying there.I wish you the best of luck with that certificate...I know you will pass it with flying colours..literally

If i see any mistakes I'll let you know!Feel free to ask me about any confusing english words too!!

What kind of art would you like to study in england?I'm just curious...Goodluck with everything

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

yuki-the-vampire In reply to britzfitz [2006-08-13 22:31:01 +0000 UTC]

Thank you once again When I joined DA I was really nervous about my English - because I was never talking in English with people who know it since they were born (not counting my native speaker who is Canadian, but he is no longer teaching me)... But when I realised that they understand what I am talking about, I became more self-confident

I don't really know what kind of art I would like to study, however I'm thinking about graphic design or photography... But it's really not so important for me. I just want to leave Poland for some time to get more experience.

I also wish you luck in everything! May I ask what are you doing? Are you studing or working?

britzfitz In reply to yuki-the-vampire [2006-08-14 02:25:25 +0000 UTC]

Your tutor from canada must have been very good. In combination with your tutor & your english classes you perfectly speak English, no need to be self-conscious anymore !Good for you because I can only imagine how much diffrent Polish is from English!!

Thats crazy that you want to study both Design and Photography! This September I will be studying Graphic Design and then after that I want to study Photography.I love them both so much, for a career I want to do both. I'm really excited about Design this Fall and I cant wait to get started!

I wish I could study in london like you might be doing...I think that would be beautiful!.I cant wait to see your photography and Design...I think you'll really enjoy Design and Photography they are very powerful forms of art!

I look forward to seeing more of your awesome chalk pastel works

yuki-the-vampire In reply to britzfitz [2006-08-14 11:25:31 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, Polish is completely different than English! I remember how long took me to learn how to pronounce this weird "th"... It was horrible. I still have huge problems with speaking (I prefer to write But I know that if I'm going to study in UK I will have to speak a lot ) and there are some words I cannot pronounce...although they are theoretically simple (like "career", or "area" XD).

I think that probably I will have to choose between Design and Photography... You know, the main problem about studying in England while being Polish is that here earings are few times lower. That's why I won't be able to get enough money from my parents - and probably I will have to have a full time job...

I love the photos you take, they make me feel hungry And I can't wait to see your new submissions...

Studying in London is my dream since I was very little, but I'm also really afraid of it - foreign country and language, and I will be alone there...

Have a nice day

britzfitz In reply to yuki-the-vampire [2006-08-16 00:48:10 +0000 UTC]

I dont think I've ever heard what a Polish accent sounds like, but I think it might be your accent that makes it hard for you to pronounce the sounds of words with "th". I know you will make your dreams come true,it might take some hard work especially where the currency:money: of your country is lower than England's but you can do it!!Dont worry about being alone, you'll make freinds there. The more your around English the more you'll learn!

I know the feeling of having to choose between Graphic Design and Photography.I live on my own and I have to work a job to pay for school,I think I will have to take a year off before I take photography to stay out of debt...aww student life, but I guess we all have to start somehere!

Thank-you for the compliments about my photographsI'm happy that they make you hungry!!that was my goal

I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your pastel work...and I really CANT WAIT to see either your photographs or your Design work, whatever you decide!!

talk to you soon
