It's not on etsy anymore, that I beleive that's why the link isn't working. It was a painting (it could have been a pastel drawing) If I see it up again, would you like it reported?

I tried to talk to her on e-bay. She said she didn't know that the original photo was not from the movie (oh, please!¬¬ and said sorry, but she keeps trying to sell it on the web.

Actually, this picture was originally taken in january 2007. It's available in the internet since then, but was only posted later on DA.

So, maybe, who knows, the artist saw this picture first and than made the drawing. Or yet, both of then had never seen each other before.

So, don't go pointing your finger like this =3

I didn't saw this fanart before.
It's really similar... O.o

But, no. I didn't only add a filter.
I did the two full costumes, hair, make up and posed to the photoshoot with my boyfriend.

I think its represents pretty well my perfect alternative end. She just chose Erik, not Raoul.
(Why people are so attached to to dramatic/sad ends?)

I thought it matches to the contests theme.
So, why shouldn't I participate in the contests? O_o'

I'm not discounting the E/C ending. However, I too am a costumer and I would never submit a photograph of a costume I made, throw a filter on it, and submit it under Photomanipulation. I'm also not saying you shouldn't have entered the contest; however I am completely astounded that you won first prize over so many original works.

But costume making is not worse or better than drawing or painting... If you think it is, there is nothing I can do for you.

I don't think that it is any worse or better than drawing or painting; there is something incredibly beautiful about a wonderfully draped frock or an expertly tailored waistcoat. However this "manip" was not submitted as a representitive of costuming. Anyhow, it's a pretty picture; the decision has been made and public opinion is quite obvious at this point.
