My weapon can switch into a bow and my arrows are kinda made of.....light particles. I call them Micro Comets. BTW, you might wanna be careful because even if I miss, it can explode anytime.Nabihan belongs to me but I credit Banpresto and The Spriters' Resource for the sprites. You can use Paint in your computer for spriting. GIMP would work too but I don't use that one. 
If you're talking about using sprites for animations, you can use Beneton GIF to make small short icon animations like some of our avatars. It's free to download. If you're talking about Flash animations like DestructionSeries, Macromedia Flash 8 or Adobe Flash CS3 would be best for that but you might wanna buy yourself. No other.
