Actually all couples with Szayel are unusual XDDDDD And this is not too rare - at least in japan - most of hetero pics with Szayel I have - Szayel/Nell X) Sooo for me it doesn't matter - which girl to draw with him. My fav couple is Szayel/Cirucci or Szayel/Sung-Sun (yeah it is really unusual cracked couple but I really love it - they both are very elegant and beauty - looks pretty cute together. [link] ) But I love this one too.

Yeah - it is neko-mimi. And yeah I tried to find 'cat pose' - it looks strange but I like it.
About versions - opinions were divided - for ex Mimi like this one and Tenzen too, but some of my friends like other =3 So as I also like this one - I posted this and give the link for other - it is hard when u have many versions. And yeah I remember u dislike this couple - don't really know why XD Nell is not the enemy for him - she is also arrancar and he tried to kill her with Nnoi =X) Not too cracked couple. What for me - I just drew cat-Szay and the girl was only because I wanted to this picture does not look empty =3 It could be other girl but I decided to draw nell.

Don't take this the wrong way, but.. I think Nel's personality is too childish, at least for Szayel. XD The pairing to me, is gross. 
You didn't fail. I would just rather have Szayel in this position maybe looking in a different direction and without Neliel. Other than that, it's fine.

yeah we all have own opinions - I really don't care with whom szayel will be happy - it is not me who will decide for him. I want to draw him. And doesn't matter with whom - just want him to be happy. Nemu is the doughter of the man who killed him and she absolutely haven't personality, Nell is too childish - but I really think what Szayel need in kind girl - because he is monster - he need a person who will take care about him - and don't pay attention on his madness - check out he has childish fractions. But Nell is for Nnoi. Yeah. Cirucci is too vulgar and 'stupid' (in comparison with Szayel). Harribel is not for him. She hate him and she loves only her fraction - woman who wants to have children not for Szayel. All couples are cracked - so I really think your reason not in this... =_= But if u don't want to tell - nevermind.
