<< BACK --- NEXT>>Midnight is not a simple evil character. I had inspiration at first from Kylo Ren (this whole idea started with the SW movie XD).
But later i find out, he has some similarities with Tai Lung, from Kung Fu Panda too.
He believed, he is overshadowed by his mother, who is a powerful magician and princess.
He would do anything to show his mother, that he is stronger. But his major conflic is, that he believed his mother is disappointed by him being a colt.
And he has come to a very important question: can't male unicorns become alicorn? If not, why? Β

I can actually honestly believe the fact he feels devalued because of his gender. Gender bias already kind of exists in Equestria: Male leaders NEVER make good guys. It's kind of sad to see he falls for the same bias he despises.

Sorry, but pointless tragic death just for the sake of pointless tragedy is a MAJOR turnoff for me, not to mention that I love Twilight and the fact that you so casually killed her off IN BACKSTORY just seriously rubs me the wrong way.

I think I've got the perfect answer: Because males would be more likelyΒ driven mad by power and wealth, but females are much kinder and would consider the others first. I don't mean a male can't be a ruler, he just need to learn to care for hs subjects more than himself first.
