Personal project and drawing exercise for conceptart.org's Character of the Week (CHOW) Challenge. Prompt: draw a dancer who uses deadly swords. The swords should represent specific ideas, so I created an air elemental character who balances and teases using her blades. In her act, the large blade is The World - too large to be wielded by anyone less mighty than a king, but still the stage for all life. The dagger is Man. While there is only so much she can do to manipulate The World, she has no trouble balancing Man on the tip of her toes while dancing on The World.
