Thank you! And yeah sadly the comics later on became a bit lame. The very last comics are kind of okay again but... well. Most countries didn't get those anymore and they still weren't as good as the first arcs.

Ooh I really likue this! I love everything with this picture, the sketchy style, the sad(defeated?) girls and the fact that you only see the back of Tara.
I also love the fact that you made her the next Oracle, most people would choose Will because she is the leader, but Tara is definately more fit in my opininon. She is most thoughtfull of the bunch, the smartest AND she was the one who raised questions against the Oracle when it was needed.

I thought so, too. Especially with the questioning the oracle she showed to me that she does see more than black and white and that she's willing to even find unrightiousness where most people wouldn't even question it; in this case Kandrakar. That's practically why I thought she would make a good oracle herself.

It's a standard brush from Photoshops' dry brushes called something like blacklead brush or graphite. I like that one very much because for me it's just as if I was drawing with a pencil. That makes shading and adding details way easier. It also reacts to the pressure you give the digital pencil. Even though I
ve worked with Photoshop for quite some years I discovered that brush only few weeks ago -,-'

... I still don't get the Taranee as the oracle gimmick. I think it goes back to the contest when I was coming up with my list... when I look at art I look for more than just what is being drawn I read what the artist puts in the description box, as well as what they may have in the art itself, what the characters may or may not look like as far as the expression on the others in the art my have, backgrounds etc. This art is not as good as the one you submitted for the contest that won 8th and we had some Judges placing you higher by the way

This is the cover to a comic as you must have read in my description. That implies that it is part of a new story I came up with. The idea of Taranee being the oracle didn't start with your contest. It started before when I wrote my next Generation stories for WITCH. I understand your criticism but I have read all of the comics, which sadly stopped producing without a proper ending. So as a fan I longed for an ending to be able to lay that whole thing to rest and I thought I might share it with others.
Anyways: Taranee doesn't just quit being the oracle but to understand that you'd have to read the comic. They might be a little older, since their origin goes aournd the ages of 13-14. So here they might be about 17-18 or so. At the end of their school life or at the edge to college.
I'm sorry you don't like the picture but thanks for your comment anyways. Believe me when I say, that they'll still be together even after Taranee becomes the oracle. I'm just trying to make a connection between the old stories and my next generation chapters (which you could read here on DA too).

I never said you started it when the contest was going on, I just bright up the contest since that was when you submitted art about this idea. So... hopfully that clears that up. People will always try to criticize work they don't agree with or change a story they like to fit someone elses vision of the way that same story should be told, in this case I think you shouldn't just have them break up W.I.T.C.H. so Taranee in your opinion could be the 'new oracle'. In many next genration storylines the original members of W.I.T.C.H. are all old when they past the heart of Kandrakar to the next generation. And generally specking it's Will Vandom as an old woman who gives it to the next leader of the guardians. The point is this they should be older like 60 or something before you do something like that. The oracle is someone who tells the future or someones future etc. And if you really wanted to make someone the 'new oracle' it should probably be Will since she is the leader and has the heart, and I'm pretty sure in the comics the oracle is the leader of the council of Kandrakar (like in the series) and picks who the guardians of the veil will be for that generation so Will would be a better pick IF for any reason W.I.T.C.H. ever breaks up... young or old. Taranee was a good guardian, and she is my third favorite, but having her as the 'new oracle' IS a bed idea. As far as the art being bad it's good art and I like it, but like I said I look at more than just what is in the image. The image is good, detailed as it is I look at more than just that and again the art you submitted for the contest was better I had some Judges place your art in the top 5. So it's not like I'm here to say your a bad artist. I just don't like your idea. For a ' new orcale' and I give my reasons. You shouldn't break them up until they are old and ready to retire

That is YOUR opinion on the matter and I accept it as that. However you can't expect me to change my opinion just because you don't agree on it.
Thanks again for the criticism. However remember that the CHYNK did break in their 13-14 years through Nerissa just to show an example. And the other guardians still do their work until the next generation comes, just that Taranee can't but not because she wanted it so. But obviousely that doesn't matter much to you. I would like you to send me this kind of message or reply as a message next time because it is very long, which is alright but I think to discuss something so far in detail is more of a personal matter between you and me and not something to go around here.
