The reek of sewers crowded the mobian as he traversed the wet, disgusting tunnels underground. But while many might have been disgusted, it reminded him of home. As a streetrat, these passageways were his safe haven as a child.

That's why he'd been picked for this particular job. Well, not to mention he was very skilled for this type of thing.

His eyes lit up as they landed on the generator that had been placed down here, supposed to be hidden from him and his siblings, but they always got words of these things.

He approached the control panel, hooking the handheld device in his paws to it. Immediately, a hologram screen appeared before him, shedding just enough light for him to work on the keyboard.

"Alright, let's see if we can shut you down~"

Paws skillfully worked on the keyboard as he kept his eyes trained on the screen, typing in some preliminary codes to begin his hacking. Pretty soon, a small blip appeared on the screen and began traversing the many access points littering the screen.

A few more codes and the signal began to home in on one of the points until finally, the encryption code cracked and he grinned as the silent whir of the machine revved down.

"Checkmate~"

Holy crap, it's my boy~! <3 My first real obsession and still very close to my heart, even if I don't draw him as much.

This picture originally was going to start out as purely fanservice, but as I began shading, I found myself wanting to have a return to Manic's roots. Perhaps I should have had him stealing something, lol.

I tested a new style of shading and found that I like it far better. It takes a little more work, but with the result I get, it's well worth it~

Also practice in perspective, and I feel like I did okay. For a sketch that was only meant to satisfy my inner fangirl, I'm immensely happy with how much more I got~

Anyway, hope you guys like him as much as I do~ *snuggles him* <3
