Don't hate me for saying this:I found the little chat between Starlight and Chrysalis one of the best parts of season six's disappointing second half.
Why did the changelings need to change? They were cute the way they were and it would be cool to see them walk among ponies. Ugh.

It seems that a large part of the community agrees on the unnecessary "change" of changelings, turning them into some abstract mash of colours. Quiet dissapointing, when compared to the bold and twisted (yet adorable in case of Thorax) original design.
The ending was also quiet convenient. Apparently, when changelings give love, it conveniently creates a Kamehameha style beam, conveniently destroying Chrysalis's throne, conveniently convincing all the changelings to become good and stuff all of a sudden ... welll that was easy how we solved all the problems in a single blast.
And Starlight thought it is going to be difficult.

I would have loved to see changelings just casually strolling around without anyone caring about the holes in their feet or their eyes. That way not every creature needs to be pastel colored and covered in glitter, although I liked the glitter wings.
Maybe I'll add that to the long list of stuff I still want to draw.
