I don't think a Knights Templar would have that moral problem if you know what i mean. Holy military order and all that ^^Β Good drawing though!

It was a old drawing, I didn't knew a lot about them.
But I wanted to represent a common crusader not specifically a Templar.

I see! But red cross on white is the knights templars "uniform". I don't even think the common crusaders wore crosses at all, just dressed and equipped as any other contemporary european

I'm sure some guys wore similar dress without being affiliated with the order. Β Crosses did become popular emblems by the time of the Third Crusade, but most independent knights carried their own arms on their shields. Β Even some of the major holy orders didn't require that their members carry uniform shields until the mid-thirteenth century.

Yes you are right, i didn't express myself clearly enough, i mean that common crusaders wouldn't sport order crosses.
And considering medieval hierarchy i seriously doubt anyone wearing the cross of a order they were not part of just like peasant wouldn't start wearing a nobleman's coat of arms...
