Description
You might be wondering what this girl is doing in Karyana's list of pictures. Truth is... this is her.I'm spoiling ahead, but in the third part of Karyana's story, after her very essence was shattered, her body was found on the outskirts of Seburbia, the city of rogues in the Shimmering Sands. The current leader, Ghezis, under orders from Pison, stripped her completely of her identity and will.
The shackle chain on her arm is linked to magical brace that Ghezis created using dark magic, which links the wearer to the one wearing the chain, like 'master and slave'. The arm guard is because Pison broke Karyana's arm during her battle against Xelnos.
Even after she's rescued and Ghezis is killed, it will quite literally take a miracle for her to return to her normal self.

The idea of the magical shackles is really creepy. I'll bet Google is developing a prototype right now. ;]

Apple already has: iPods, iPhones, iPads... Every tablet can, in a way, be a shackle.

Laurinya and Kaina are the physical manifestations of two aspects of her mind. Lily is, in a nutshell, what is left when Karyana's mind and soul are completely taken away from the body.

Laurinya represents the Id, which is, in a nutshell, her wild instincts. She also inherited Karyana's physical traits and the part of her memories that are linked to her knowledge of magic.
Kaina represents the Superego, which is all the restrictions and rules. She inherited Karyana's emotions and the rest of her memories.

That was the intention. I went for as little color as possible to show how faded she had become.
It'll also be around that time that another character will be introduced to the story; a street urchin named Aurea.

She undergoes a lot of identity wreckage and renaming throughout this story.

In this case, it's more like identity theft. Still, I've seen in some stories before a trope in which the main character never completely defeats the main villain on the first try. Hence why I've had Pison revive again and again.
Also, each 'change' is an important step in the story. In this case, Lily is pretty much a 'last defense'. It's like stripping a character down to the bare bones before raising it from its ashes.
