I was thinking that this could be a good exercise: to take characters of my first series and show what they will become at the end of the second one. While this is spoiler-heavy, I still feel like it could be worth a try.

My first go was with Mark Silnorov, aka Volkram Niros. At the beginning of 'Remembered Eternity', after an entire decade spent trying to get back at Karyana for his failures, he is left a broken, powerless man with no clue what to do next. However, this also starts showing who Mark Silnorov truly was.

Before Medierth, Mark Silnorov was a businessman of American/Russian descent whose past was marred by the early separation of his parents. Mark studied International Economics in Manchester, but his ideologies were shunned by the others in his trade. His lowest moment led to meeting Roger Evans - who had studied at the same place as him - who was looking to aid Melody Evans to find a job. Her cutthroat approach to business led to their business growing rapidly, but also left them with a shaky reputation. While he tried to spark a relationship with her, it ended being "just business", leaving him to take the fall when she moved out of the business to start her own. Had it not been for "outside interference", he would have remained a broken man. However, that "outside interference" also took over his life and hurried the downfall of the Old World.

In the world of Sherad, Resham was born into a criminal family as the 20th child of Benito Samshire. His youth was stained with a meritocratic approach to education and affection, which led to him leaving the household to join the Outcriers, hoping that their zealous approach to justice would lead to the Samshire Family's downfall. However, one of the members of the family was - unbeknownst to him - a high-ranked member of the Outcriers and tried to kill Resham. This led to a quest to find acceptance, family ties and friendship in a world trapped between "what was" and "what should be".
