This one is a hermaphodite long-tailed Akarion. And is based off a Redcapped Cardinal.

I think this is a really neat design ... I enjoy the colours really much. And their feet, their feet are wonderful, but you do know how much I love the way you draw feet, don't you? The repeated markings makes the design come together really neatly. The tail is so pretty, and so it the head! And then I really enjoy that so many of the characters you make are not strictly male or female. That's really nice! But, next time, would you mind tagging things like this with nudity? Genitalia makes me really uncomfortable

Ur lil' greedy theeng! No, just kidding, I understand. And it does get the point throught, and is a nescessary, ehm, detail. I am just a bit sensitive with that kind of things. I am usually all right with things just being naked and no sexual content (which makes me reeeeally uncomfortable, possibly because I am asexual but also just because of who I am) but when it comes as a surprise, I'm less prepared and then it's ... not that nice -cough- and I could be browsing dA in school or while my mom was around tehehee -cough-

And being an artist myself, I just love the body and anatomy, and I mean everything haha So I normally never see things that are uncomfortable to me because everybody has genitals even though we cover ourselves for decency. I just think the body is a beautiful piece of art, but I know that people don't have the same personal view as I do and that it makes them uncomfortable, which I am aware of, but I'll give more heads up in the future. c:

I know the feeling, I really do. I hope I'll be able to see the whole body like that sometimes too. I'm really good with scars and wounds, trying to overcome the 'eww'-factor, but genitalia still takes some work. Some day, though, some day I'm sure I will get over it! I hope so, at least, because I want to take life-drawing classes without being too uncomfortable. I think it would do me a lot of good, but I am not quite ready yet.

I completely understand. It can be really hard for people, such as yourself, to get over that line. Maybe it's because you haven't really taken an art class that deals with it like you said. Plus I also took a Physiology class back in high school and I loved everything we learned lol I actually wanted to become a doctor awhile back, but I knew I didn't have the study skills to become one. Plus, I like art way more haha.
but anyways, ya, you should only do it when you're ready. I wouldn't force it, but sometimes you gotta bite that bullet and just go out an do it so you can overcome that fear you know?

i think it's interesting that they are also circumcised, i wonder where in their history they decided to start circumcising their males (or in this case, penis-havers)?

it's also like our culture. Mostly to keep clean and it's a right of passage into the specific clan they are born in. Some of the parents choose to wait because they don't want to tie down their child to a certain clan, in this case say they were born in the Gallogg clan, it's among one of the worst clans that are born into poverty and maybe they want to create a better future for their child to choose a certain clan of their own. So they take a pilgrimage to the Borok clan to give them a better name for themselves.
It's a form of symbolic ritual as well, just like how it is in Judaism and Islam. Coming of age, Being a "male" or "shemale" you will be ordained in the clan with that symbolism.
