alas, Death Note has finally ended and al lot of fans hate the ending XD i personally thought the ending was fine, though it could be better. a lot of fans were complaining that there should be at least a scene of Near visiting the graves of L and Mello, so here it is. ^^ i know its unlike Near to hack off Light's head...but i thought Mello might have liked that, so Near did it for him ^^ well, i hope you guys enjoy!haha, raito finally got what he deserves (sorry kira fans!)

Wow first time i saw this (10 years ago) i thought it was an official Artwork from Ohba and Obata. I am deeply impressed you managed to reach such level of elegance and sophistication typical of the Manga. I love Near's expression, it truly represents what he is feeling. Near is Light's nemesis if by "nemesis" we consider the concept of retribution against those who succumb to hubris (arrogance before the gods) hence the name of this Masterpiece! Divine retribution is a major theme in the Hellenic world view, providing the unifying theme of the tragedies of Sophocles and many other literary works and we see here the retribution in all of its powerful brutality. We can also appreciate Light's face. Beheaded heads tend to stamp on them the last moment of life of the person, the last thought, the last feeling, the last emotion; here i see a mix of shock, terror and fear. Wow....
That's a great way to pay homage to L, thank you for this Masterpiece

I love this pic, for one reason. It is the REVENGE. Light killed them, the two who Near "liked". The two humans who had his respect.
