Lots of people have asked me to make a tutorial but I never had the time. Well, I found some time while procrastinating on hw yesterday to do a simple eye tutorial in my semirealistic Project WE style. I used Paint tool SAI in this tutorial but the instructions can work for Photoshop as well.I will do more tutorials on other things later but that's all for now!

I don't know if I already wrote on this one, but I just discovered something extra in this tutorial that really helped me out. I've been getting very confused as to how line art fits into paintings like this, since this sort of semi-realistic style is something that I've been working on. Thanks to this, I now understand how to work it into the piece! Thank you so much!!!

Oh this helps, I always wondered why the whites are the eyes are actually dark grey when I looked at references for when I draw.

Hum~ This is beautiful! (And super helpful.)
The gist of your coloring is pen as the base. Then you merge the lineart (or rather, a quick outline?) and the base colors and use the brush tool to blend everything, yes?
I'm curious as to how you manage your layers when everything comes together.
