Description Lots of people have asked me to make a tutorial but I never had the time. Well, I found some time while procrastinating on hw yesterday to do a simple eye tutorial in my semirealistic Project WE style. I used Paint tool SAI in this tutorial but the instructions can work for Photoshop as well.

I will do more tutorials on other things later but that's all for now! I hope it helped!

I think the way you do eyes is incredible, even if the image is a low saturated one you make the eyes highly saturated and they really pop and leave an impression. I would love to see a tutorial on how you pick your color palettes one day c:

"Draw a basic outline of the eye" *draws a circle* easy enough.

"Add some details" pffft. Some details? That's like drawing an oval and then the 'some details' being the Mona Lisa or some junk.

Yea. I lack both the skill and creativity... which doesn't make for a very good artist xD But I can like color and follow tutorials made for noobs where you just kinda do what it tells you and in the end have a masterpiece (relatively speaking) lolΒ

Well I tried but whenever I draw eyelashes they look horrible. So I never draw them.

The same with hands, when I draw a person I usually put their hands behind their back so I don't have to draw them.

I can draw hands well if they are in a fist or holding something.

One of the hand positions I hate the most would be a two fingered salute.

I also hate thumbs because I never know what to do with them.

Yeah me too. I tried to get a few anime how to draw books from the library so I could learn some good tips and get better, but it wanted me to draw in one specific way that was really hard for me to do. So I just made up my own style.

I use paper and pencil, but I prefer a pen.

Since 'digital art' would be Paint and a mouse for me, I only use it for memes

"digital art" for me is a laptop touch pad and photoshop cs2 which i only use for coloring ...Β 

I dont think i could ever draw in pen btw more power to ya xD I could only trace or something... i can barely write in penΒ

So a touch pad... is that a pen tablet? Like, the digital pad with the special pen that you attach to your computer?

I have one of those but I haven't set it up yet. My uncle is going to help me with it.


I don't like using pencils for drawing because it interrupts the flowiness of the drawing when it gets blunt and I have to sharpen it. If I try to draw with a pencil I get nervous and my hand starts shaking so I always use a pen. I only colour with my very best pencils though and never pen or texta unless I really have to.
