Please critic. I am trying to improve!

Here is my newest pic I am working on my white haired OC Shirogetsu and some random puppet or guard member of the main villain from the manga I have an idea for. I am not a fan of how the villain turned out but I had already been working on it for 4ish hours by that point and decided to finish it up anyway. Should I redo it/ possibly do a different character all together, fighting shiro or keep it?

I think I am going to actually do a really nice fancy background for it as well. Should I or is the background okay?

This is the first time I have ever tried drawing anything like this so I think it turned out pretty good for a first time with something so complicated especially when I am not great at drawing two characters at once and hardly even know how to draw fighting poses. It took me probably 10 hours at least. I also did two slightly different versions of Shiro one with blue highlights and one without please tell me which one you prefer! I'm uploading both.

Should I continue doing these sorts of drawings? Also anyone with advice on drawing lightning or backgrounds? By the way Would my art be considered good enough for commission work yet? I have had several people insisted that I should do commissions but I have no idea what to charge and everyone still requests I do stuff for free even the people insisting that I do commissions so I am assuming I am either doing something wrong or I'm still not good enough. I would love someone to look through my stuff and to give me some advice on pricing.

I have thought about it and am willing to do more free commissions if I start getting some point donations as I am having a really hard time finding a job. I would be willing to start making some more downloadable content as well.

Comment for a comment! I am trying to improve my artwork but don't have a core membership so I can't request my works get critics. Tell me what you think and if you want I'll look at a your stuff and tell you what I think!

PS I am pretty much in crisis mode because I can't find a job and am heading to college soon but have no money for food or supplies or anything so I set up a donation pool if you like my work a point or two tossed my way would be appreciated! I am also willing to do cheap commissions as long as I am paid at least semi-reasonably! Just putting it out there though not pushing or anything. I'm just happy I have people viewing my work!
