Hey! I got your note on FA. I thought I would pop over and clarify a few things.
I am not the artist of that image. I am merely the owner of the character who is portrayed in the original (which can be found here - NSFW - [link] ) . The name of the artist is Strype.
While I appreciate you notifying me of the pseudo fan art, you really should ask the original artist next time BEFORE you decide to reference so heavily from one of their images. While not all of the image is the same, I can tell that you have traced some parts of Strype's original work. I'm not sure how he personally will feel about it which is why you should always ask first. Generally artists do not like it when you trace any part of their work or even essentially "redo" the same picture that they've already done by using similar colors, the same outfit, the same location, etc. Most don't mind when you borrow one or two smaller aspects and change the rest (like using the pose in a completely different setting and situation so long as you haven't traced any of it)
Anyway. I appreciate your kindness in letting me know but please be careful with how you reference others' work. From what I can tell in your description, this isn't the first time you've done it and you imply that you've gotten nasty letters from doing it before - take that as a tip that maybe you should just start drawing your own things and not using others' artwork as a reference!

Well hun I have to say you're only bringing it upon yourself. You should never trace and should probably ask the artist first before referencing so heavily. In the future, try using pose websites like posemaniacs.com or artsyposes.com for pose ideas and then draw it (without tracing) and add your own outfit, character, setting, etc. If you do chose to use a website like that as a reference for a pose, you still do need to give credit for it.
I've already passed it along to Strype to let him know... I don't know if he will care or not but you really ought to start either working on your own content or asking the artist BEFORE to avoid these "nightmares" as you call them.

You copied the lines exactly from the original work on the arm on the left as well as on the shoulders and breasts for example.

She looks like a character I've seen on Fur Affinity. Same hair colour, fur and swimsuit.

Just so you know, the artist is generally tagged on e621 on the left hand side in a gold color. There is also usually a link to the source where the poster got the image from originally. If you go back to the e621 post of the image you used here, you'll notice that Strype was tagged as the artist and Icee (me) was tagged in a green color as the character in the image.
Just so you know for the future!

Her name's Icee on Fur Affinity. [link] This is the one I was thinking of. ^^ Just be careful though, you could get in trouble if you don't make it clear where you got her from - the only thing missing is the eye-marking, which I believe is behind the hair?
I'm sure Icee'd be happy to see your work though. It's cute, and I adore it too, but watch out for one of the wanna-be do-gooders who report everything that doesn't follow the code.
Also, think I'll have to check out your other work.

Haha. Always good to state where you found the reference picture. Heh. It's not theft 'cause you drew it, and I'd back you up if anyone tried to say you'd stolen a character.

Well... not sure how Strype will feel about it but yves100 did trace parts of the original art (the arm on the left, the breasts and shoulders as part). It is cute but he would have been much better off if he hadn't traced and changed some things up more (using a different setting or outfit if he really liked that pose) to make it more his own and less a copy of the piece that Strype already did. Anyway, just my two cents. I let Strype know so he could handle it how he sees fit if he decides he wants to!

Ah, I see. ^^ So, Yves traced afterall? I should compare pictures since I've got both downloaded (cute character).

Not entirely but if you look at the arm on the left, the shoulders and the breasts, it's quite clear that those parts were definitely traced. He obviously redid the other arm, the head, etc.
