It gives a sense of humanity for animals in distress but the dark colours keep it mysterious. The impact is brilliant as even though its dark it caught my eye.

No actually they are their own species [link] Hyaenidae, 'Although phylogenetically close to felines and viverrids, hyenas are behaviourally and morphologically similar to canines in several aspects' Not being an asshole, I promise. ^^'
