The insect legs AS PART OF the head is what sold me this picture, the idea of the whole insect being combiend with a human's head. Very disturbing and creepy, one needs a strong stomach, but it definitely achieves that state of fascination/repulsion that makes it hard to look away.
In short, it's art, and art is what I come to DeviantArt for.
