Both are practically insane geniuses, being able to come up with horrific ideas and use them to their own ends.
However, Bright still tries to help save the world through his contributions to the SCP Foundation and is depressed at his situation, whereas Afton finds great joy in his immortality and uses it to continue his selfish need to kill.
