Whew it's been a while since I've been on dA... Well anyways, here is a painting of some mechs holding down a street corner on an orbital colony. I wanted to make this feel sort of like box-art for a mech model kit with a heavy nod towards gundam and other 90's mecha anime. The mechs themselves were inspired by the idea that maybe they were the next step after tanks, and so I wanted them to feel kind of like 80's tank tech and mostly functional. It's been pointed out that the gun is probably closer to MBT caliber but I'd thought the kind of gun these guys would carry would be more like the bushmaster on the Bradly IFV. Well that's about it I hope you enjoy it!
