I recently rewatched Captain America: The First Avenger and I didn't think the Red Skull was gross enough. So I did some redesigns cos reasons. I guess the botched super soldier serum he took keeps him from feeling pain, because I'd be in agony if I had no skin.Related content

Gotta admit, it's an interesting take. Pretty logical too, since the serum was supposed to twist his bones and muscles. Then, again, it would have been deemed too scary for a broad audience.

I watched the bonus features on the bluray and they said they didn't wanna make him too grotesque because obviously kids are gonna be watching. But I do wish they made him a bit...'skullier'
