Although the armor is really cool, I gotta say, it's the staff that draws my eye more. And the pauldron with the crystals. Very nice work.

Looks great, but to many crystals for me to think of it is practical, then again its for a game and looks are what matter.

I like how you made it really battle-magey. Her face isn't the usual face of mage; mages usually look inquisitive, thoughtful and wise. The face of your depiction has the stone-cold features of a hardened soldier, which fits with the concept of a battle-mage.
You've also melded classic mage robes and warrior armour plating together very well, congratulations. ^^

Thank you very much, my skills have developed considerably since this image, so I was planning on doing a new one of this armor, but in a more action-oriented pose and more dynamic scene

I hear ya on the color burns. Oddly enough I did this in sketchbook pro...which at least in the version I use, has no burn tool... but I think that the gamma on my cintiq is off a bit from normal displays, so some of the colors came out a bit harsher that I would have prefered...
