Good stuff, I enjoy this kind of art. The heads give clues as to what the characters 'are', while the bodies hint at what the characters 'do'. Something core, and then something built on top of that. It encourages some interesting guessing as to how their personalities have been impacted by their hardwiring.
Like...
Book guy. Carrying books all the time. Even has a book for a head. Book reader! What a nerd! But he doesn't care. Dresses kind of lazily, doesn't really mind that his flappy coat'll mess up his sweet page turning. Likes what he does, goes with the flow. No problem. Real "open book", nothing to hide.
Taking a stab at interpreting art is fun. I'll leave it there for now, in case it just sound pompous.
