I did this after seeing a bunch of depictions of the batman/robin relationship as pedophile and minor, which I thought was uncreative and offensive. To me, the relationship has always been a paternal one, and I think this shows one of those moments I've had with my own son, where I am trying to teach him something I feel is important, using a serious tone to emphasize the point, then he goes and pulls some random stunt that makes me smile in spite of myself.Related content

Thank you for that lovely description along with this amazing piece of art. The other day I was having a discussion about Batman and Robin with a relative of mine, in which I couldn't get through one sentence without having that relative interrupt me with a gay or pedophile joke. It frustrates me, that some people cannot understand the actual relationship between these two.
Besides that...this piece is absolutely adorable and I love it :3
