Description
This is an endless animation loop of Kion (Simba's son) from Disney's The Lion Guard that I created using Adobe Illustrator and ezgif.com. It was really hard to make, but also really fun! (I can't stop staring at it XD) I'm very proud of how it turned out and how smooth the animation is! It took me almost two full days from start to finish, which means I must be obsessed with this show...yes. I'm pretty sure I am. My dream job is to work for Disney Animation Studios, so I guess this experience kind of gave me a glimpse of what that would be like! Maybe I could fool people into believing I'm one of the animators of the Lion Guard, haha! (Just kidding, I would never do that)

If you're interested in knowing how I created this, here's how I did it. Otherwise, skip over this because you'll probably get very bored. I basically took screenshots of each frame of a scene of Kion walking in the show and uploaded each screenshot in Illustrator (I think there were 22 in total). Then I traced Kion's body and head using the pen tool and copied and pasted them into each frame, and then I manipulated each copy to match each screenshot to create the sense of movement, especially in his mane and tail. I then took each leg one at a time and repeated that process of tweaking them in every frame for each leg until I had 22 slightly different frames with Kion's full body, ready to be made into an animation. I deleted the screenshots and took new screenshots of my traced-over frames. Yes, I know, it was a very complicated process. I'm sure there was an easier way to do all that, but I didn't feel like taking the time to learn a new animation software, and this is how I usually do 2D animation. Animation is extremely time-consuming, especially traditional animation. This was probably slightly easier than drawing every frame by hand, though.
