Description
It’s rare that I post two drawings in one day, but consider it a Happy New Year gift! I decided I just wanted to get in one more drawing today just so I could post it on January 1st. I watched the live action Lion King today (yes, I’m one of the few who actually likes it😂), and I got major feels and was inspired to draw something. So I did a short animation of Kion dramatically looking off into the distance along with one of my favorite TLK quotes, because why not? XD It’s not anything spectacular, but mainly I wanted to practice animating hair being blown by the wind. The Lion King reminded me that even though terrible things happen, we can always find a lesson in our challenges, and that will help mold us into a better person (or lion!). Even though 2020 seemed like a complete waste of a year, it’s important to learn from it rather than try to force it out of my memory. I won’t sugarcoat it; 2020 sucked and it was the hardest year of my life, but while being stuck at home, I learned to slow down and enjoy the little things, as well as reconsider what’s most important to me.
I am looking forward to 2021 with hope and excitement, and I think we should face it with courage and optimism and believe that things will get better someday.
