Description "Tentacles!!! Damn Betelgeuse Wombat! Slowed it down in zero gravity. now, I need to get it to cargo bay to shoot the bloody alien!"
Lexy does not like finding weird stow a ways on her ship.

Here is an entry for Mr Marcus' Jam.

This pic took a good part of the day. I did allot of penciling before I made the inked drawing. I'm not real happy with the colour. I'm glad I stopped when I did.
Pen and ink. Markers for colour.

I like this picture because it has a 1980's feel to it that just stands out in this like it's right of a comic book.

Sweet, yeah finding things like that aboard your ship ain't fun, like finding a Golem in your trunk, just don't make for a pleasant day......

Very sexy!!! I love how you chose to keep her in her sci-fi element and made it work with her in her sexy little bikini! I hope she gets that pesky Betelguese Wombat!

Thanks for contributing!!! This is great!

It's not space unless it has a fuzzy space monster.

Right! Bikini's in space, does sound sort of strange!

It is but everything is strange in the Sci-Fi world.

Quite true! Everything can be strange!
I thought about that comment after I responded. What if bathing suits became practical attire in space, since it would mean less fabric to wash.
Yes, I like strange!

Thanks! I just think the colour can be a whole lot better.

What are you using for colour? This is a great drawing but the colours are flat and streaky. Tell me what you are using and maybe I can suggest some alternatives.

Zage56 In reply to Frohickey [2009-06-25 15:45:31 +0000 UTC]

I stopped the colouring, when I saw that the streaky effect was not going to change or get better.
I was using two kinds of brush markers: Prismacolour Premiers and Faber Castell Pitt pens.
Thanks Adrian!

If the brush markers are water-based then that is the problem. Alcohol-based markers will blend better and you won't have the streaking problem. Prismacolour double ended markers are good as well as Letraset Pantone Tria markers(they are refillable).

Thanks, Adrian. I think I'm going to keep my present brush markers for small art. Next time I visit the big city, I'm going to look into purchasing alcohol based markers.

I recommend the Letraset markers as they are refillable.

Letraset? excellent! I will look for them the next time I visit the big city! (early July)

It's a good investment and you should be able to get blank "empty" markers so you can mix custom colours with the refill inks.

It's nice anyway. Perhaps you ought to colorize Lexy's skin in order to make a contrast with the background - or to colorize the background in order to make a contrast with Lexy's skin.

I was thinking about putting skin tones on her, before I stopped. Sometimes colour, frustrates me. I spend hours working on a drawing, and then ruin it with colour.
I might make a few smaller coloured drawings of her and her various parts.
I also want to create a coloured drawing of my various characters, and the different space races.
Thank you, Maurice!
