Description
Holy Crap... I bet nobody saw this one coming...Here we have Taimat the Fiend of Air from Final Fantasy I (using the Game Boy Advance sprite from Dawn of souls) recreated using perler and hama beads...
It all started after I finished Ironing Master D ([link] ), and realized that for so long he was consuming 21 of my boards... well, when I finished ironing him I had so many extra boards that I thought, "let's make another 'masterpiece'" (I call a masterpiece any sprite that uses more than six boards)
Well, as you could imagine, I had a bunch of "masterpiece" worthy sprites to choose from, especially being a Final fantasy nut... and then I realized something... Both Pinkdramon ([link] ) and yzzif ([link] ) both had made a taimat, and figured the only way to top them was to make a Chaos... Well then I changed my mind, instead of doing chaos, lich, carey, or kraken - I decided to do a Taimat as well.. only mine will be a ultra kickass 16bit version...
Anyway, as for the specs... she spanned 15 boards, used six shades of blue, five shades of purple, two shades of yellow, two shades of brown, one shade of red, two shades of orange, and two shades of black... took about 12 hours to make...
Please fullview and save a copy...
Any questions just ask...
EDIT - changed he to she & added the amount of reds and oranges used...

I'd love to see a Master Sword.

It was actually like 11½ hours in three segments, but rounding it to 12 just seemed to pad the ZOMG factor...

just a pain to fuse... when I would iron her some of the parts didn't get enough heat, so when I got enough heat to those parts, the other parts that originally got enough now have too much... it still looks great but you can tell that some parts are more ironed than others...
...and when I flipped her over to iron the other side, she was all floppy and I was afraid that she was going to break but she didn't... she's a trooper...

I saw it coming.
Mostly cuz I've been thinking about making it myself.
Which by now should come as no surprise, seeing as how I've made perler bead dragons before.
My main concern is "Which colors do I use???" I'm not sure I have all the shades of blue & purple available, since I don't have any Hamas of those.
I might 'borrow' this image to help myself later on if I go through with it.
By the way, Tiamat is not a "He."
Tiamat has pretty much always been a "She." The original Tiamat was slain by her kid, Marduk, and her body became water. In Mesopotamian legend.

Thanks for the mesopotamian folklore, now I know more than I did...
...and please borrow the image, make one yourself... just because I made it first doesn't mean that it can never be made again. it just means it won't be as original (which is why I wanted to get a foot in while I could) but like I said, the sprite I used (dawn of souls (the PS1 version is a bit darker)) has seven shades of blue (I use six because perler pastel blue is close to two of them... real close) but I definitly used alot of hama beads, and I would recommend buying more if you're running low...
About the sprite, the 8bit one only had five heads right?

Yes the 8-bit version only had 4 or 5 heads on it.
