this was drawn on a whim when i once again realized how much i hate archie comics. i used to read the french ones as a kid, and i just can't stand it... archie was such an uncomitting ass! i mean, he'll chase any girl around, and is the choice between betty and veronica that difficult? gah. the only thing that the comic had going for it was that it was more tolerable than bazooka joe comics,.. and the fact that it inspired this.archie comics and characters etc etc (c) those who own the rights to them.

Oh yeah! I've read Archie since I was in the 4th Grade. I don't collect the (English) comics obsessively like I used to, but I still like them.
And yeah you're right. Sometimes I just want to kick Archie too for his selfishness. I mean, Betty gives him so much TLC (helping with his homework, baking him cookies, fixing his car etc.) and then he ditches her for Veronica, Cheryl, or the new girl in school.

I am a HUGE Archie comics fan but I gotta say I absolutely love this. Why?? Because this is what he deserves for always ditching Betty to be with Ron (or Cheryl or whoever). He had it coming...

sorry guy's and girls, my sympathy goes out to archie on this one, yeah the whole choice thing is bollocks, but the characters wouldn't be with all the indecisveness, and heck, there's gotta be a base plot somewhere...can you hear the inventors thinking, hmm we need a guy who's torn between two girls, but he can never make up his mind
as aposed to, lets have a carrot top who has a hot rich girl, where he gets everything he want's, with no teenage angst, problems or personality disorders....
mind you, I've always been a jughead fan, specially during those time cop stories, and i seem to recall i had a crush on the character of archie's future girl cousin or whatever she was....but me, ahh id love to be jughead, eating and never a girl to worry about sweet!

I am always amazed how when you draw people from RL in a slightly cartooned style, it looks so much like them!!!
