History:
Asashio is follow up to the Shiratsuyu and Hatsuharu classes, but utilizing new design. It is designed for speed as such it was perfect destroyer for hit and run tactics. This ships usually serve in outer territory as patrol ships, capable to quickly react and engage any threats. Class received many modifications over the year and was unique as every ship has its own unique upgrades (usually interior upgrades). Like all Japanese destroyers, Asashio is capable to enter atmosphere and land on any water surface but not on solid surfaces.
