TLDR; Try out www.weasyl.com/ as a DeviantART alternative! If you need someone to vouch for your account, I'm happy to do so!I've been cross-posting on Weasyl for around a year or two now and it's always felt like the site has plenty of promise but no userbase. In light of Eclipse protests, now feels like a good time to boost the site. The main issues I have seen about Weasyl have to do with a lack of traffic, which can easily be remedied if people will actually move off of DA. At a first glance, Weasyl may look like a furry site and I know that may deter people...but it's not. It does not present itself as a furry site and its categories are not furry-related. Off the top of my head, here are some of the features Weasyl offers:
- a custom banner that isn't compressed to hell and back
- artwork that isn't compressed to hell and back
- optional custom thumbnail cropping on the site itself as part of the upload process
- commissions, trades, and requests statuses
- streaming statuses and notifications
- commission information, custom tags, opt-out tags
- a "marketplace" for users to browse open commissions
- custom coding for profile text www.weasyl.com/help/markdown (some HTML seems available)
- custom character profiles
- easy and customizable sfw toggle not hidden behind a dropdown menu
- search tag filters
- self-serve username changes
- stuff I'm sure I'm not remembering!
If there's some hidden history or secret reason people avoid the site, I'd love to know. Otherwise, I personally feel it's a great site and would love to see more people move there!
And hey, if you try it and like it...maybe boost it a little, too?

I tried as much social networks as I could, and I failed in every single one of them...
Twitter: too few text to add to your images.
Instagram: Completely destroys your images (heavly crops anything higher than 480p) and you have to own a smartphone to even register. (I came around that by using Vivaldi browser), can't upload videos at all. And seems that if you don't upload "influencer" images anything you upload doesn't goes anywhere at all.
Furaffinity: A little more reliable than Deviantart. At least what you upload isn't drown in a sea of awfully badly drawn images. You can hope that what you upload there can last 2 mins or so (unlikely deviantart, when I upload something and try to find my OWN stuff even after 30 seconds I can't find it anymore!!) Unfortunately, unless you show breasts and/or cock, you can't hope to have much followers there (still... better than DA)
Weasyl: Looks like a site which is primarly for NSFW stuff. I mean, that can be ok if that is it's target... So I'm totally open to the idea of use it if I can find more info!!

While I can definitely understand your gripes with Twitter, Instagram, FurAffinity, and DeviantART, Weasyl isn't primarily for NSFW at all! The small community the site has seems to be mostly furries, but Weasyl's focus is general art . The issue is that 'regular' artists don't seem to know about it or are unwilling to try using it, which is what I'd personally love to see change since the site is very nice to use (in my experience, anyways).
If you need more info, they have an FAQ section here . The first question in the FAQ is "What makes your site different from others?" and is worth a quick read. Currently, new accounts are blocked off from opening their profiles publicly until a pre-existing account "vouches" for them - this is to prevent spam bots - so I've been offering to vouch for anyone who decides to try out the site. I hope this information is helpful ^^

Usually girls with filters in exotic places, trying to look casual. Or photos of food, or the ones of "look, I'm favoulous!!" which for some reason (beyound bots) receives 100k likes.

It is essentially a complete redesign of DeviantART that will be forced on everyone around May 20th. Many site users do not like the new design and are upset that DeviantART seems to be ignoring their protests.
