Wow was very shocked to get a DD. Thanks so much for all the kind words! I will dedicate this to Feng Zhu! I Have learned so much from his teachings, and no doubt his design languages must have started seeping in on this one.Related content

Awesome work here, this looks incredible! A quick question about this... are the large structures built into the terrain orbital defense cannons? They kind of look that way but I can't quite tell.

Sorry, but this does not deserve a DD. It's unfinished, lazy and just a rip-off of Feng Zhu.

This is definitely not a rip off of Feng Zhu. This actually looks more like a photograph than a painting.
If it really was a rip off... well, then someone could argue that any sci-fi landscape like this is a rip off of Feng Zhu, using the same logic!

I admit I was overly harsh, forgot I was on dA and the author can actually see it. But still, you don't give out DD's just for effot. The guy will probably kick ass later, but this one is below the bar of "DD-standard" to call it that.

In my opinion, this is great for other average artworks. I can't even draw this type of art. And this is not for effort, but it's for effort, detail and color. And I think this looks great, otherwise, how is this lazy and un-finished? I can't see any 'Un-finished' bits in it.

The design language of the structures and planes are exactly Feng Zhu. It's impressive how far you you got by studying his design cinema episodes, but personally I'm very curious to see more of 'you' back in your work. I hope you don't take this as a negative comment, because it really isn't. The composition and atmosphere are great and these things are hard to tackle. I also love the cave you put in there. Some areas could maybe be a little more rendered, as the contrast between detail and roughness feels a bit stark here and there. Congrats on your DD!

thanks for the feedback, yeah i was honestly debating even uploading this because after watching  fzd tutorials so often and learning soo much from them, and studying his work, his design languages just seep in. I wasn't referencing any of his stuff while doing this, and was really doing it as an exercise focusing on atmosphere and fov, along with perspective of two shapes in the same scene that are not just a copy and paste, but actually drawing them with their perspective changes. so the designs just ended up like shapes that were fresh in my mind. maybe ill just dedicate the DD to feng, since he doesn't have a deviant art haha
