Dusk's falling on my decadent reality. My everyday landscape keeps drowning, I'm a microscopic orange stain in a rusty universe. I hope you'll come tonight... Surprising thread of my thoughts, my guide and lover, let me cross again the dark frontier of my fantasies! So close but uncertain to reach, this blurry paradise hides behind my eyelids.Release me... and I'll fade like a drop in the infinite ocean of a dream.

'Below the Rust' is actually my biggest painting (it is 1.2 x 0.8 meters wide), and the one I have spent the longest time on. Five months, doing an average half-time work. The fact is that I can't help myself doing those small details that nobody can see. Using a 1-hair brush on a canvas that wide is totally insane!
This is only oil paint on canvas, but before starting to paint I made many sketches, and even a colorized version with photoshop (to set up the right colors).

oh i see those small details with the 1-hair brush....being an oil painter myself, I know how big of a difference it makes....i honestly couldn't figure out if this was digital or traditional because it's soo pristine and amazing. I love the message it's conveying and it looks absolutely amazing! God please bless me with the patients to put this much detail in my paintings! You should be proud of yourself for this one! Truly phenomenal. The tiny little bits of details, like the light reflections on the woman's skin, every single stair on the staircases... I love the way that under the water, everything is real, while everything above is mechanical. What inspired you to create this image?
I think my jealousy just reached an extreme.
The bottom half reminds me of Tales Of The Abyss and parts of Golden Sun a little bit, lots of staircases and intricate pathways that you can easily become lost in.
