Description
I evolve in the creative emptiness of my surroundings. Inspiration gone, my mind finds reasons to create in the shelter of my autistic world. All nude in this weak oasis and my feelings as well, I'm trapped in the jail that I silently build.-----
This is oil on canvas. I used an airbrush fed with diltuted oil paint to paint the sky (there is nothing moe dirty than doing this). I made very few sketches before painting it. At the end I don't like it that much, it looks wonky to me, the hand and thigh on the right look ugly. But there is lot of meaning behind, i just hope you'll catch it.

This is real surrealism and there is really nothing wrong with it[I even like the hand]. The description is very understandable.

This is lovely, just the use of colour I'm looking for in by book cover art contest. Details in my journal if you're interested.

This picture makes me feel trapped. Like I can't do anything to help but it seems so unneeded anyway...

Well, I don't know all the meanings behind it, but isn't that the mechanical fish from your other painting? So does it have something to do with having a need to express yourself in ways other than conversation, even when there's nothing to inspire your creative drive? That's what it reminds me of anyway, since that's kinda like what I go through...and you end up becoming trapped in your own world because you have nothing to help you get your ideas out, and you sort of drown with them in your head...now I'm losing myself. I rather like this, so mellow and plain compared to all your others...very interesting. ~Kay

Very seldom have I been emotionally moved by an artpiece such as I have been with your "I Fill Desert with Uselessness." What words could I possibly say, or give life to, to describe these intangible thoughts into something concrete so that another individual can look at them and fully understand what I feel inside? Alas, perhaps I do not possess this beauty; however, I hope that whatever feebile attempt I am taking now will somehow be enough.
When I first saw this piece in the thumbnail, I was captivated by the surrealistic view and the dreary, melochany colors in it. Thinking this was the full extent of this piece, I nevertheless choose to see the enlarged version; upon glazing at it, waves of vehement sadness, perplexion, and of course marvel consumed me. From the man completely exposed to the harsh conditions of his surroundings, the voracious branches of trees shooting up from the desolute earth to engulf him, and depth of the cloud less sky, everything is a wonder in its own right. Any "mistakes" you see are lost, to my mind anyway, in the complexity of design and symbolism of this piece.
You don't have to answer this little tangent here, just humor me if you will by reading it and maybe getting a good laugh from it. Anyway, the man, whom I gather is a reflection of yourself, is trapped in the jail that he silently builds, yet the title is "I Fill Desert with Uselessness." The man can't be creating something useless if he believes that this "jail" is the shelter in which he creates in a world without inspiration..... *retreats to dark corner to think*

This is much of a satisfaction for me when somebody is caught by the mood of one of my paintings to the point of staring at it for a long time and writing a great paragraph about the things he felt. My artworks are indeed a reflection of my own mood, a mood that stretches over months and that I throw on the canvas feverishly in strokes loaded with melancholy, introspection, needs, sadness, selfishness, empathy, devotion, love. Grab one of those and nothing I do remains useless anymore.
This uselessness I mention is relative to other people, socially speaking. Creating is not useless for me (it is a strong need that I can't go without fulfilling), but it proved to be useless in my relationship with others.
Thanks for stopping by, for thinking about your feelings, and share that thinking.

I knew about your gender! I just did a grammar mistake due to my native language in which you use male as gender by default, when talking about persons in general. I guess. Sure I don't have a choice for you to add me, and it won't bother me a lot anyway. Maybe that way I'll get another of those interesting comment on paintings to come. See you!

looks freakin amazing. the binding roots and the metallic like substance coming up from the ground are so very well done. i really like your choice in colors as well, i'll call it sea green, really sets a kinda intangible feel, i don't know if that makes any sense my thoughts are hard to put down. i really like this though, my personal favorite part of this piece would have to be fish like thing near the bottom right coner, very cool. excellent work!
