Description
Very long work before releasing this drawing that stretched out over years. This is the one that made me realize that my 'style' was details. Painful work, i must enjoy pain,maybe it makes me live.The adventure began a very hot day of august in a small and remote village of deep Spain. There was this age-old olive tree in front of me, and in my thoughts this gorgeous curly girl I would never see again. I came back a few times to continue drawing the tree, protected from the hard sun by its distorted shadow. Once back in france I just invented the rest (the intricated ground)
Stupid me,it has been drawn on a bad recycled paper from a sketch block, that turned to yellow. I looks like it is 2 centuries old now.

The expression on her face is genuine...and realistic but i don't know what it looks like now if you say the paper has gone yellow on it but.....but the drawing would well suit the older look.....i like it !!

Truly amazing. I have absolutley nothing to say about this piece's techincal excellence. The way you work with shadows and highlights is truly wondrous.
As for the theme, and the only thing that makes me sceptical about giving it a fav, it's that the girl is a bit too 'sexy' for my tastes, I would have personally preferred something closer to nature. But that's just a subjective view. All in all, an amazing piece... well done!

insane detail! only thing i can say is the shading under her legs could be a little darker. about u trying to upload a newer version, dev art is kinda messed up with that and it dont work properly, the only u can do is upload it as another seperate image. it would be really cool if u drew stuff like this on computer

I'm amazed... this is like music, poetry, and art all rolled into one. I can't decribe the feeling I get from this. Maybe it's the sleep loss, or maybe the post-anime meloncholy, but I feel a strange attachment to this piece. Normally I'd frown on something suggestive like this, but looking at the piece, I can't really take it like that. And I don't even know how to go about the technical details of those woody textures... the shading is practically flawless. It reminds me of the renaissance painters, where every subtle shade is brought through as if the person were spotlighted by life for a few minutes. Great drawing.
