Well because you have nice graphics skills, and there are very few other Ubuntu stamps out there on dA. You're a user, and you know the heart of opensource os's.

well, basic story is, back when I was creating this stamp I had to use someone else's computer, which only had Windows, and I couldn't install anything on it, so the GIMP was out of the question for me, yet I still wanted to make an Ubuntu stamp.. so all I had was Photoshop so I used it

Oh. I just found it odd that a Linux-related stamp would be made in Photoshop.

there are loads of others besides the GIMP, just that the GIMP is more widely known in the opensource community

I know, but the main alternative, Krita, isn't as good as the GIMP yet. ^_^ And Cinepaint is a GTK1 app.

plus the fact that Krita needs the KDE framework, right? O.o (at least, that's what I understood by looking at their page...), I've never been a fan of KDE, gimme Gnome or XFCE any day

hehe, why're you a KDE fan then? GNOME and XFCE work better in my opinion

GNOME makes me think of a radio manufacturer that says you'll only ever need to listen to its five favorite radio stations. And requires you to be an engineer to listen to anything else.

Well ok Jesus is the ultimate source of good things.
but ubuntu does represent a large movement in opensource software and spreading healthy ideals to all nations.

jesus is the ultimate source of good things? well, that's basically a matter of opinion/belief. those who aren't religious can't say that Jesus is the ultimate source of good things, can they?

jesus doesnt necessarly have anything to do with faith you know. he was a historical figure who lead many people. i suppose a nonreligious person could say jesus is not the /only/ good source, so yea youre right.

but then again, it all depends on how you look at things, this world is full of so many things that're based upon opinions, beliefs and faith.

it could be said that opinions are one of the pillars of modern civilization. if i think something, im going to act on it and persue more information. if i dont really care, im going to just not do anything. i like to know whats out there, and i think i keep an exceptionally open mind. i dont know if this world is some matrix computer program, or what. but im not going to just sit back and not care. im going to be opinionated, fight for my causes, and kick ass at being a role model for society. i'll make mistakes, but if i can manage to do more right than wrong, then maybe the human race deserves to live.
