Love the angle looking down. It's a lot higher than you'd expect, and beats the hell out of the usual standing-up or i-can't-just-stand-up-so-i'll-have-to-lie-down angles.
Black and white works here for two reasons, one cos its kids, and i dunno, that always just works, makes it look like the best upbringing ever. Secondly, the awesome lines all over - from stuff as obvious as the steps (and the alternate shadows) to the different directions in the wood on the floor and at the door.
Reason I like this most though is that it reminds me of the times when I really did have the luxury of nothing to do. Such blissfull, unappreciated boredom.

for this i balanced precariously on the 3 inch wide deck railing (a good 6 feet above the ground) and its surprising this didnt come out blurry as hell cause i just could not stop wobbling.

See, I have the opposite problem, I can be kneeling down with my arms wedged between my legs trying my damndest to be still, and it'll still be blurry. Annoying as hell. I need to cure these whiskey shakes
