Description
Note 1:The title is taken from a famous childrens story of the same name by one Robert McCloskey about a family of ducks who somehow manage to cross several busy streets in the heart of Boston to end up in Boston Public Garden. the ducks pictured are part of a series of statues in the Garden created by one Nancy Schon depicting the family of ducks in commemoration of this wonderful story.
Note 2:
With the toning and framing and whatnot i was going for a 1970s Polaroid kinda thing (those pictures always have so much character) but as i have no Polaroids to look at i really have no clue how well i achieved that. i was pretty much going on a seat-of-the-pants feeling here. like when your doing 95 and you think "eh, im not going that fast, maybe 65-70" and then a cop pulls you over and says "uh, sir..."

Thank you so much for featuring me in your journal.
this really means a lot to me. the past few years i've drifted away from photography but to see that people such as yourself find it worthy of sharing makes me think of taking it up again. it was something i enjoyed greatly but i gradually lost the time and inspiration for it. i think maybe it's time i say, "you know what, i'll make the time!"
anyways, sorry about the reminiscing 'out-loud' so to speak. basically i just wanted to let you know i really appreciate you featuring me like this.
thanks!

You know....it's comments like YOURS that encourages me to continue this particular dA account (my main one is `oibyrd ....but I try to give this one equal billing to gain a larger audience). I think that the best form of encouragement and praise is feedback. Of any kind. It shows that folks are noticing your work...and in an ocean filled with millions of different artistic visions - you caught the eye of another artist.
I wish you continued success with your photography - I too am learning and sort of put it aside to do my digital artwork.
Now...I think perhaps I should start learning the technical side to photography - I enjoy using my OWN stock for my manips so that would be a huge plus
anyhoooo - now I'M rambling!
thanks again for the kind commentary - you rock!
on a side note - is that wee one yours?
