Well, yeah, there's not much needs saying on this one. It's got such subtlety in the highlights, such a beautiful colour cast, and such overwhelming loneliness in all that darkness... I guess sometimes you get drawn in to smoking and it's like you are alone, you get separated from the world and can relax. The focus on the smoke just reinforces that.

Dammit, this is good! The shading is absolutely perfect how it only catches the models(you i presume?) nose and mouth. I love how it's so mysterious. It could be on the cover of a book.

that "model" is my friend Greg (i almost never take pictures of myself, i hate them) and the shot was totally spontaneous so its lucky that the light only fell that far. but thank you, and thanks for adding me to your friends list.
