Circular emblems are back! What better way to kick off the next batch of installments than with the massive serpentine Elder Dragon, Dalamadur? New to the series as of Monster Hunter 4, Dalamadur is gigantic, its bladed snakelike body long enough to wind around mountains. It attacks its enemies with its claws, fangs, breath, and explosive meteors that rain down from the sky. I really like this creature's design. It's a bit more interesting than just a straight limbless snake and the scale of the fight itself does feel like you're taking on a massive beast. For this emblem, I wanted to capture the shape of Dalamadur accurately so I opted for an array of its body sections to create a circle. This design probably adheres to the "circular" concept the closest of the ones I've made so far. With the array done, it was a matter of positioning the arms and upper body. The result is this coiled pose and I think it turned out well in the end.
