ok i really love this. would you mind in the future if i used your idea and tried to make something like this out of leather...

The material used for the drive is Basswood. If you're not familiar with basswood, it's a softish craft wood, but still durable.
The other parts are a mix of using a laser cutter and my handiwork to carve out the design and put it all together.
It's held together with a type of wood glue, so there aren't any unsightly screws.

Im trying to make the price lower, but with the price of the USB, materials and how long it takes, it's really hard to cut corners.>_<

this is pretty awesome; I for one misplace/lose my emory sticks A LOT; I have recently taken to keeping them all on a bright ribbon so I can find them easier. If it's not hard maybe try putting a ring in one end so that people like myself can string something through the ring to keep it handy.

They're made of basswood. I first need to cut out the inside piece then I use a laser cutter to help with the details.
