I love the sense of depth and layers in this!

I've decided to give up on looking for a scanners and save my money up to buy a DLSR camera (& tripod) to take future images of my work. For me it works out to be worth the money as i will be able to take photos of any sized work (and not worry if it fits in the scanner/knitting it together in Ps) AND as its a camera i will be able to use it for other things as well such as videos (for both arting and my hobby working Alaskan Malamutes). Just thought id share the idea with you, perhaps it might be an option for you too??

I have a great scanner at home but not at my current location if I can't find solutions I might be able to get a hold of a good camera from a friend. Thanks.

Drawing without reference is the best way.

May be too bold a claim, but seeing a delightful touch of Burian's palm trees there. Can imagine this forest is home to tan-skinned proboscideans, and perhaps to toothed birds with iridescent pinions.

You have a really wonderful - and powerful - mental library of flora developed. Very nice seeing it put on full display. I know the word "masterpiece" is both overused and misused today, but feel it is appropriate here as a piece that showcases manual skill and pictorial knowledge.

Doing more of these environment pictures lately but I don't have a scanner out here. I'll think of some way to up load this new stuff.

If that's your taste I fauna you're going to love the Orange Haven world description.

Excellent. Drawing scenery out of my mind is something I struggle with and this looks very good.

Woah, that's pretty cool that there wasn't a reference. It looks great how the path extends off into the distance. Awesome!

It was a rough trying to do that with a charcoal pencil. No eraser, and really messy with no fine tip. I Really want to see what I could get done.
